John Lyon VFW Post 3150 operates a number of different funds, each with their own purposes and restrictions. Below you will find options to donate to each of these funds.
The General Fund is the source of the Post's daily, weekly, and monthly operating expenses. From paying bills to providing food for events, the Post General Fund is the resource for those activities.
The Relief Fund is a restricted fund that may only be used to support veterans, active duty, and veteran or active duty dependents. The money in the Relief Fund may also be donated out to other organizations that support the same community or pay for community service activities.
The Building Fund is what keeps the roof over our heads intact. From changing lightbulbs to repairs to modernization, the Building Fund pays for it all.
John Lyon VFW Post 3150 is proud to partner with the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation on the creation of the VFW Post 3150 Nathaniel Schultz Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will go to the child of a local Marine Corps Veteran and help to pay for some of the many expenses of higher education thereby "Honoring Marines by Educating their Children."
