Dear Honorable Members of the VFW,
I would like to take this time to thank you for the service that you have given to me and our country. I know how hard it must have been to wave goodbye to your families and walk off into the dark abyss that is war. In WWII, my grandfather was a cook. He told me stories about how hard the winters were, and how it saddened him to see the gold stars in the windows of those who had lost loved ones. The Vietnam War is another one. I know the pain that each and everyone of you must have felt when a dear friend was lost. Once again, thank you, and I offer you my prayers. |

I found this on www.veterans.com:
All Veterans of Foreign Wars,
I am a teacher of 31 years (mainly history an reading) who has begun a "Wall of Success" in our building. Inscribed photos of successful people appear on the wall.
I would like to add photos of 50+ veterans to the wall/walls of our building. It would be great if they were inscribed to the students and a message to motivate them to be successful included. I'd like photos of you guys in uniforms (period photos and 8 x 10 if possible). The students need to see you heroes. Thanks
