At the 2006 Tenth District Convention held at Dale City Post 1503, 2005-2006 District Commander J. David Keith announced that John Lyon Post 3150 was selected as an All State Post. The designation is limited to the top twenty-five Posts in the state and reflects all aspects of Post life, including membership, community activities, and other programs. This was the sixteenth time in the last eighteen years that the Arlington Post has been so honored.
