Cathy Kerns came up with a unique idea for the annual Buddy Poppy competition held at the Department Convention. She presented the "Buddy Poppy Goose", which bore a sign around its neck reading:
"Be COOL like me,
as I SUPPORT the Veterans,
Be COOL like me,
Would YOU like a Buddy Poppy?"
This entry received a blue ribbon for the first place. |
