A Post 3150 Color Guard, comprised of (left to right) Tom Kane, Mike Holtz, J. Gary Wagner, and C.D. "Doc" Crouch, marches off the field after leading the parade of teams during the 2006 Opening Day Ceremonies of the Arlington Little League. Following the 2006 Opening Day Ceremonies of the Arlington Little League, members of the Post met with some of the coaches and players of the Majors 2 Rangers team, which Post 3150 sponsors. Framing the banner proclaiming Post 3150's sponsorship are J. Gary Wagner, Greg Moscater, the Rangers Assistant Coach, some of the players, and Mike Holtz. See the Little League schedules and standings. Wear your VFW cap or shirt and cheer on our team!
Commander Gregory Moscater (center in front of sign) presented a check to Larry Parent (left), a lead coach of the Challenger Division of the Arlington Little League. Challenger Division is a "program of baseball for 5 to 18 year old boys and girls with mental and physical challenges". The Post's donation helped fund the Challenger trip to Virginia Beach for a 2006 tournament. Commander Greg Moscater (left) stands with a group of students and parents from the Key-Science Focus Lightning Soccer Clubs following the Memorial Day 2006 ceremonies at the John Lyon Memorial in Cherrydale. The Post has been a long time sponsor of the soccer clubs, and the parents normally use our ceremonies to teach their children the meaning of Memorial Day. Many also attend the Clarendon War Memorial ceremonies. At both ceremonies, each child was given a Buddy Poppy and a short lesson in its significance.
