| 2004-2005 Senior Vice Commander Steve Cobb and Adjutant J.Gary Wagner accept the first boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts from Manager in Training Bryan Bacon (rear) and two Associates of the retail store in Alexandria, Lek and Esther. The store is donating weekly about 12 dozen doughnuts to be presented to injured servicemen and women returning from the war zone, and to the staffs of the hospitals where they are being accepted and treated. |
Commander Gregory Moscater welcomes some of the recovering soldiers to the Post Sunday Brunch on October 10, 2004. Forty-eight soldiers and family members were treated to brunch by the "Adopt a Soldier" organization supported by various VFW, American Legion, DAV, and VVA posts. The coalition also provided transportation for the recovering and wounded military personnel from Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Repeat visits are expected for upcoming Sunday brunches. |
