| John Lyon VFW Post 3150 and Ladies Auxiliary sprang into immediate action following the September 11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon, just 1.5 miles from our Post home. Pictured in this official U.S. Navy photograph taken within the security perimeter and just 75 yards from the point of impact at the still-burning Pentagon are some of our volunteers. Post Commander M. C. "Connie" Agresti is on the extreme right passing bottles of water and sports drinks over a fence to firefighters, and his 15-year old daughter, Brigid, is in the foreground replenishing the ice-filled tubs with more beverages. |
