Fun at the Post - Page 1
From left to right, Elsie Weeks, 2004-2005 Tenth District President Betty Gimble, Shirley McAlhaney, Tom Kane, and Sgt. Michael Buyas (right), OIF Veteran recovering at Walter Reed, display the results of their efforts, while Doc Crouch (second from right) looks on following Doc's Cheesecake Cooking Class at the Post. Several other student chefs completed the course and took their personally designed cheesecakes home with them. Graduates of "Doc's Cheesecake Baking Class" pose with their creations following the class: Elsa Weeks, Jerry Peterson (SVC VFW Post 27), Greg Moscater, and Duval Diaz and his wife Mercedes. Doc Crouch and Ladies Auxiliary President Catherine Graham bracket the graduates. The event was a Ladies Auxiliary fundraiser and raised $80 for Cancer Aide and Research.
Ladies Auxiliary 3150 members Terry McHale (left) and Loraine Sorley (second from the right) traveled over 700 miles from Chicago for Gene Miller’s Famous Chili-Mac. Both sisters of Gene (center) and Jerry Miller (right), they made it a family affair. Eric Anderson (second from left) also helped out with the dinner. About 75 chili-mac dinners were served at Post 3150 on a Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. William H. Wright enjoyed the chicken and fish dinner at the Post. He is a new member of John Lyon Post.
